5. Website, cookies and contact

Visiting the website. Our hosting provider in Switzerland records technical data such as IP address, date and time of the visit and browser used in log files, to ensure the operation and security of the website.

9. Artificial intelligence

We use artificial intelligence tools on business plans whose terms exclude the use of data to train the models. We only enter the data needed, every result is checked by an employee and we do not take decisions based solely on automated processing.

10. Recipients

We only disclose personal data when necessary for the purpose, when required by law or with your consent. Recipients may include:

  • IT and software providers that support us: website hosting, email and document storage, accounting and payroll software, artificial intelligence tools;
  • authorities, for example tax authorities, AHV/AVS compensation funds, social insurance institutions, the commercial register, debt enforcement offices and supervisory authorities;
  • banks, insurers, pension funds and other institutions, when the engagement requires it;
  • external professionals such as notaries, lawyers, auditors and advisers, bound by professional or contractual confidentiality.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

11. Transfers abroad

We process data mainly in Switzerland and the European Union. Some providers (email and documents, website statistics, artificial intelligence, messaging) may also process it in the United States. In these cases we rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

12. Retention

We keep data for as long as needed for the purpose and for the periods required by law. In particular:

  • accounting records, invoices and business correspondence: 10 years (Art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations);
  • engagement files: for the duration of the engagement and then for the applicable retention and limitation periods;
  • contact requests with no follow-up: up to 2 years;
  • unsuccessful applications: 6 months;
  • website statistics: no more than 14 months.

At the end of these periods we delete or anonymise the data.

13. Security and confidentiality

We protect data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, and our employees are bound by confidentiality. If a data security breach is likely to result in a high risk for you, we notify the FDPIC and, where necessary, the people affected.

14. Your rights

Within the limits of the law you have the right to:

  • know whether we process data about you and receive a copy;
  • request the correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion or restriction of processing and object to processing;
  • receive the data you provided to us in a commonly used electronic format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise these rights, write to info@fidata.ch. We normally reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity and may restrict a right where the law allows, for example because of retention obligations or professional confidentiality.

You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. If you live in the European Union, you may also contact the supervisory authority in your country.

15. Changes

We may update this policy when our services, the tools we use or the law change. The version published on this page applies.
